Job summary

Gap Inc. in United States is seeking a distribution maintenance technician to drive a continuous improvement culture in our distribution centers.

You will develop, implement, and maintain material handling equipment and related systems to maximize efficiency and uptime. The role requires strong technical knowledge of MHE, the ability to plan, prioritize, and work across functions, plus excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining MHE in distribution centers.
• Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
• Strong troubleshooting and repair skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify and troubleshoot solutions that impact facility product flow.
• Develop positive cross-functional relationships to improve occupancy, efficiency and site reliability.
• Conduct routine repairs with shop equipment: band saw, welders, torch, tubing, hydraulic press, drill press, grinder.
• Perform maintenance on 3-phase electrical systems under 600 V, including preventive maintenance and drive unit rebuilds.
