Position Overview: Responsible for all aspects of inbound inventory, warehousing products, and pulling, packing, and processing orders for shipping via parcel carrier or truck, as well as receiving products and supplies for the Veterinary Distribution Department.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Receiving and Warehousing (80% of time):

• Unload shipments from carriers and verify paperwork.
• Process received shipments according to written procedures.
• Identify process improvements for greater efficiency.
• Provide input to Supervisor for warehouse improvements.
• Monitor inventory levels and report low stock.
• Organize storage for efficient picking and shipping.
• Ensure proper storage of finished products.
• Assist with miscellaneous projects and maintain a safe, clean warehouse environment.
• Perform daily forklift checklists.
• Assist with physical inventory.

Shipping (20% of time):

• Pull orders accurately and efficiently.
• Operate scanning equipment proficiently.
• Manage shipping expenses and packaging costs.
• Pull packaging slips and ensure quality checks.
• Identify shipping process improvements.

Job Requirements/Qualifications

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Basic experience with shipping and forklift operation preferred.

Language Skills:

Ability to read, interpret shipping reports and regulatory documents, and communicate effectively with management and customers.

Mathematical and Computer Skills:

Basic math skills and some experience with UPS World Ship or similar software.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to define problems, analyze data, and draw conclusions.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

Valid driver’s license required.

Physical Demands:

Regularly required to sit, use hands, reach, talk, hear, stand, walk, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must lift up to 25 pounds regularly, up to 50 pounds frequently, and up to 100 pounds occasionally. Vision abilities include close, color, peripheral, depth, and focus adjustment.
