Job summary

Unicoi State Park & Lodge in the North Georgia mountains is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician for the 2nd shift (3:00 PM–11:00 PM). You will join the Engineering team to repair and maintain our lodge, guest rooms, cabins, restaurants, and public areas, with emphasis on HVAC systems and general building upkeep.

The ideal candidate has hands-on HVAC experience and the ability to troubleshoot electrical, plumbing, mechanical, carpentry, and painting tasks.

Qualifications

• HVAC experience required and hands-on troubleshooting ability.
• Experience in hotel, resort, commercial, or building maintenance preferred.
• Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, mechanical, carpentry, and general maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and repairs throughout the lodge, guest rooms, cabins, restaurants, and public areas.
• Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair HVAC systems and equipment.
• Complete maintenance work orders from various departments in a timely and professional manner.
• Perform basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, mechanical, and painting repairs.
• Participate in the property's preventive maintenance program.
• Inspect HVAC and building equipment and identify potential issues before they become larger problems.
• Change HVAC filters, belts, bearings, and other components and lubricate equipment as needed.
• Troubleshoot unusual equipment noises, vibrations, and performance issues.
• Maintain guest rooms and public areas, including repairing fixtures, caulking, painting, and general repairs.
