Job summary

Unicoi State Park & Lodge in Helen, Georgia, is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our Engineering team on the 2nd shift (3:00 PM–11:00 PM). You will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and building systems across the lodge, guest rooms, cabins, and public areas.

The role emphasizes preventive maintenance, safety, and prompt guest service as you help keep a premium mountain property running smoothly.

Qualifications

Hands-on HVAC experience required, with ability to troubleshoot heating/cooling systems.
Experience in hotel, resort, or general building maintenance preferred.
Ability to troubleshoot problems and determine appropriate repairs.
Safe operation of hand and power tools with attention to safety.
Willingness to work 2nd shift: 3:00 PM–11:00 PM.

Responsibilities

Perform general maintenance and repairs throughout the lodge, guest rooms, cabins, restaurants, and public areas.
Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair HVAC systems and equipment.
Complete maintenance work orders from various departments in a timely and professional manner.
Perform basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, mechanical, and painting repairs.
Participate in the property's preventive maintenance program and inspect equipment.
Respond to guest maintenance concerns promptly and professionally.
