Job summary

Brasstown Valley Resort & Spa is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the 2:00pm to 10:00pm shift. Work with a resort team to keep facilities safe, clean, and fully functional, with opportunities to grow within a premier mountain destination.

The role emphasizes hands-on diagnostic work, preventive maintenance, and timely repair across plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC systems. A valid driver’s license and a high school diploma are preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous maintenance or building maintenance experience preferred.
• Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or mechanical systems is required.
• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Ability to perform physical work and lift heavy objects as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance.
• Troubleshoot and repair maintenance issues promptly.
• Complete repairs including plumbing, painting, carpentry, and basic electrical work.
• Assist with HVAC and mechanical system maintenance.
• Operate tools safely and maintain logs of work performed.
• Respond to maintenance requests from guests and departments.

What You\'ll Do

As a Maintenance Technician, you\'ll help ensure our resort remains safe, beautiful, and fully operational by:

• Performing routine inspections and preventive maintenance
• Troubleshooting and repairing maintenance issues promptly and efficiently
• Completing general repairs, including plumbing, painting, carpentry, and basic electrical work
• Assisting with HVAC and mechanical system maintenance
• Safely operating hand and power tools
• Responding to maintenance requests from guests and resort departments
• Maintaining accurate maintenance records and work logs
• Supporting a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for guests and team members

What We\'re Looking For

• Previous maintenance, facilities, or building maintenance experience preferred
• Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or mechanical systems
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Ability to perform physical work, including lifting, climbing, and standing for extended periods
• Strong attention to detail and dependable work ethic
• Positive attitude with a team-first approach
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Valid driver\'s license required
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
