Job summary

Prysmian Group is seeking a skilled Maintenance/Tooling Technician for 2nd shift to perform repair and installation tasks on heavy industrial equipment in our plant. You will follow standard work procedures, operate various machine tools, and ensure adherence to safety rules while maintaining high-quality production standards.

Responsibilities include tooling control, inventory management, and collaboration with operators to resolve setup and equipment issues.

Qualifications

• PPE requirements and where to obtain PPE.
• Lockout/Tagout procedures must be followed.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Demonstrated organizational management skills.
• Ability to operate arc weld and cutting torches.
• Ability to follow verbal or written instructions.
• Ability to meet attendance guidelines.
• Ability to work overtime (>40 hours/week).
• Ability to work rotating or night shifts.
• Knowledge of micrometers and calipers.
• Ability to lift dies up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work from a man lift up to 20 feet.

Responsibilities

• Control all production tools in the plant including extrusion-related equipment.
• Maintain and control tooling using LeanSigma methods and 5S.
• Ensure proper tooling availability and condition, including replenishment and tool inspection.
• Assist operators to address set-ups and equipment issues.
• Support Process Engineering on extrusion tooling challenges.
