Job summary

MEC is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Raleigh, NC to join the maintenance team. You will troubleshoot and repair automated machine tools, perform preventive maintenance, and respond to repair requests.

The role requires reading schematics and working with a variety of hand and power tools. Candidates should demonstrate strong communication, organization, and safety practices, with the ability to work both independently and in a team environment on facility electrical, plumbing, and related

Qualifications

• Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to organize tasks and manage time effectively.
• Ability to read and interpret maintenance manuals, engineering documents, and electrical schematics.
• Experience using a wide range of hand and power tools.
• Robust problem-solving skills with attention to detail and sound conclusions.
• Knowledge of general safety practices in maintenance roles.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair automated machine tools and support equipment.

As part of the Maintenance team, you will…

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair automated machine tools and support equipment including Turret Punches, Lasers, Press Brakes and Air compressors.
• Perform Preventive maintenance.
• Respond to repair requests.
• Work independently and as part of a team.
• Perform Facility Maintenance, Repairs, and upgrades to plumbing, single and 3 phase electrical systems and other facility systems.

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as maintenance manuals, engineering technical documents, and electrical schematics.
• Experienced in the use of a large array of hand and power tools.
