Job summary

Waste Pro is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead a shop team, diagnose mechanical problems, and direct the workflow to keep Waste Pro vehicles, equipment and containers safe and productive.

This role may act as manager-on-duty and requires coaching, scheduling, enforcing safety rules, and coordinating with managers, drivers and mechanics to maintain high standards of reliability.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and 2 years of vehicle maintenance or welding experience.
• Minimum 2 years supervisory or lead role experience.
• Valid Class A or B CDL; must meet Waste Pro requirements to operate trucks and equipment.
• Mechanic school certification and/or ASE certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses mechanical problems and repairs on Waste Pro equipment to maximize safe, productive operations.
• Supervises team responsible for repair, installation and maintenance of heavy-duty equipment.
• Prepares and reviews repair orders; maintains labor, materials and parts logs.
• Coaches, counsels and evaluates performance; identifies training opportunities; enforces safety rules.
• Develops and maintains relationships with managers, drivers, helpers, mechanics and admin staff.
• Identifies parts needs and procures within budget; refers major purchases to Maintenance Manager.
• Participates in safety lane process; reviews DVIRs; sets repair priorities; ensures quality of work.
