Job summary

Waste Pro USA Inc. is seeking an experienced technician to diagnose and repair engines, transmissions, brakes, suspensions, electrical, hydraulic, and related systems on diesel, gasoline, and CNG trucks. You may perform welding and fabrication as needed in a safety-conscious shop environment.

You will collaborate with supervisors and drivers, document work, and adhere to DVIR and repair orders while maintaining a professional, ethical work standard.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Suspension Inspections, Diagnosis and Repair.
• Knowledge of Brake System Inspections, Diagnosis and Repair.
• Knowledge of Electrical System Inspection, Diagnosis and Repair.
• Knowledge of Hydraulic System Inspection, Diagnosis and Repair.
• Proficient in the use of Diagnostic tools with the ability to interpret and make repairs from Service Manuals.
• Ability to complete work within Suggested Repair Times (SRTs) and estimate time/materials.
• Knowledge to provide assistance and guidance to Assistant Technicians and Shop Helpers.
• CDL Class B (preferred within 12 months).

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses mechanical problems and repairs on heavy and light trucks to maximize safe operations.
• Communicates with managers/drivers about vehicle issues and preventive techniques.
• Completes required paperwork in a timely manner.
• Follows all safety policies and procedures.
• Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with OSHA standards.
• Utilizes vehicle computer electronics to interpret failure modes and initiate repairs.
• Conducts safety checks on vehicles and equipment.
