Cadrex Manufacturing Solutions in Illinois is seeking a Hardware Operator I to set up, operate, and maintain hardware machinery in a fast-paced production environment. You will perform drilling, cutting, shaping, and assembly, while ensuring precision and adherence to safety and quality standards.

The role requires reading blueprints, using precision measuring tools, troubleshooting equipment, and collaborating with maintenance and QA teams.

Qualifications

• Experience as Hardware Operator or in a similar manufacturing role.
• Strong knowledge of hardware machinery operation and safety.
• Ability to read technical drawings/blueprints and interpret work instructions.
• Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality.
• Proficient in using precision measuring tools and performing assemblies.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate hardware machinery (drilling, cutting, lathes, milling) per SOPs.
• Monitor machines for abnormalities and troubleshoot.
• Perform hardware assembly and ensure precise measurements.
• Inspect hardware installations and coordinate with QA to resolve issues.
• Perform routine maintenance and coordinate with maintenance techs.
• Follow PPE and lockout/tagout procedures.
• Maintain records and production reports.
• Identify process improvements to boost productivity.
