Torrance Casting, Inc. is seeking a Grinder to grind, deburr, and finish iron castings. You will work with grinders, sanders, and hoists in a physically active role, operating independently or with a team to meet quality standards.

The job emphasizes safety, reliability, and attention to detail, with a 2nd shift schedule and potential overtime. No assembly line, just skilled metal finishing with room to learn.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience with power tools is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Grind, deburr and finish iron castings using a variety of grinders and tools.
• Visually inspect castings to ensure quality standards.
• Set up, operate and shutdown machinery and equipment.
• Move castings safely using hoists and other equipment.
• Read and follow work orders and process instructions.
• Record work activity on a computer.
• Prepare castings for shipment including boxing and labeling.
