Job summary

Tiara Yachts in Holland, MI is seeking a 2nd Shift Grinder Associate to trim, grind, and finish fiberglass components, shaping hulls and decks with precision. You’ll ensure edges meet specifications and surfaces are ready for assembly.

Shift is Sunday–Thursday 2:00 PM–10:30 PM. This hands-on role emphasizes safety, quality, and consistent production in a marine manufacturing environment, with comprehensive benefits and on-the-job training.

Qualifications

• Comfort working with fiberglass, resins, and composite materials (PPE provided)
• Physical ability to lift, bend, grind, and work in dusty or warm conditions
• Experience using grinders, trimmers, or other cutting tools preferred
• Detail-oriented mindset — every edge, seam, and trim line matters
• Ability to follow instructions, work independently, and meet production goals
• Previous experience in composites, construction, or automotive work is helpful but not required

Responsibilities

• Trim and grind fiberglass components to specified shapes and tolerances using air tools, saws, and grinders
• Smooth edges, remove excess material, and prep surfaces for assembly or finish
• Maintain accuracy by following work instructions, blueprints, or diagrams
• Inspect finished parts for quality, completeness, and fit
• Keep tools in good condition and maintain a safe, clean work environment
• Handle materials with care and attention to both safety and quality
