Job summary

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems seeks a 2nd Shift General Manufacturing Manager 1 in Linthicum, MD to supervise 15–20 represented employees in ACT – Assembly Coating and Test. You will oversee safety, quality, scheduling and budget adherence while driving continuous improvement.

Responsibilities include directing manufacturing operations, leading teams, implementing process improvements, and performing SAP/MES transactions to manage workforce and production data.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing/Engineering or related field with 5+ years in Manufacturing/Production/Engineering, or advanced degree with fewer years.
• Master’s Degree with 3+ years in Manufacturing/Production/Engineering.
• High School Diploma/GED plus 9+ years in Manufacturing/Production/Engineering may substitute for a degree.

Responsibilities

• Provide directions to employees using management guidelines and policies.
• Plan, direct, and oversee manufacturing operations to ensure on-time delivery and budget adherence.
• Lead manufacturing teams in hiring, training, performance management, and employee development.
• Drive employee efficiency and align area to produce quality products.
• Implement process improvements to improve affordability, quality, and schedule.
• Perform required SAP/MES transactions.
