Job summary

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems in Linthicum, MD, is seeking a 2nd Shift General Manufacturing Manager 1 to supervise 15–20 represented employees in Assembly Coating and Test. You’ll drive production efficiency, cost adherence, and safety/quality standards while coordinating with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities include directing manufacturing operations, implementing process improvements, and managing SAP/MES transactions to support throughput and quality targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience working in Manufacturing, Production, IT, Engineering environment or equivalent experience; Master’s Degree with a minimum of 3 years of experience working in Manufacturing, Production, IT, Engineering environment or equivalent experience; High School Diploma or GED and a minimum of 9 years of experience working in Manufacturing, Production, IT or Engineering environment or equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

Responsibilities

• Provide directions to employees utilizing management guidelines and general policies.
• Plan, direct, and oversee manufacturing operations to ensure efficient production, on-time delivery, and adherence to budgeted costs.
• Manage and provide leadership to manufacturing teams, including hiring, training, performance management, and employee development.
• Drive employee efficiency.
• Manage the area to produce quality products.
• Engage employees to achieve their highest potential.
• Implement process improvements to improve affordability, quality, and schedule.
• Perform required SAP/MES transactions.

Education
