Job summary

Morton Salt is seeking a 2nd shift (2 pm–10 pm) forklift operator to maintain safe, efficient bagging and salt room operations. The role involves loading/unloading from trucks, operating forklifts, pulling orders, and ensuring accurate shipment documentation.

The candidate will ensure proper GMPs, housekeeping, and safety standards at all times. From the salt rooms to yard stock, you will support material transfer, weigh and label products, and maintain clean, organized work areas while adhering

Qualifications

• High School or equivalent required.
• Minimum two to five years of experience operating in a production packaging environment.
• Must operate forklifts safely and maintain good housekeeping.

Responsibilities

• Load or unload materials from various shipping vehicles.
• Safely operate loading/unloading stations for material transfer.
• Pull orders for shipment and verify accuracy with scanning equipment.
• Prepare receiving reports and submit for inspection.
• Weigh materials and record weights on labels or schedules.
• Restack damaged pallets and inventory materials in yard/warehouse.
• Stock products in the yard according to procedures.
• Maintain neat, orderly work areas and report damage or spills.
• Comply with all safety regulations and GMPs.
