Job summary

Morton Salt is seeking an operator to bag salt, drive a forklift, and support production on-site. The role includes basic housekeeping, documentation, and following safety and quality policies.

Responsibilities cover packaging, labeling, and assisting technicians while ensuring compliance with QEHS standards. The environment can be noisy and physically demanding, with occasional outdoor work.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to communicate clearly in writing and speech.
• Must be able to work overtime as necessary.
• Physically capable of pulling/pushing/carrying 50 lb weights.
• Must wear required PPE and comply with safety rules.
• Working in a noisy, dusty industrial setting with varying temperatures.

Responsibilities

• Bag salt and operate forklift to support production.
• Follow safety, quality and housekeeping policies.
• Report safety, quality and environment concerns to supervisor.
• Operate and monitor packaging lines and label pallets.
• Maintain records of production data and output.
• Assist technicians and supervisors as needed.
