Job summary

Seneca Foods Corporation in Hart, Michigan, is hiring for a 2nd Shift Forklift Operator/Processing Line in the Processing department. The full-time position starts at 3:30pm, Monday through Friday, with pay rates for Forklift Operator 1 at $23.28 and Forklift Operator 2 at $21.83 per hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years of forklift experience preferred (Food Processing a plus).
• Basic math and clear communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Scan and attach proper tote tickets to help maintain inventory accuracy.
• Move totes / pallets throughout the plant.
• Weigh product and record weight on tickets.
• Ability to move, stack, and unstack pallets or totes of product in rows, and up to 5 high.
• Ensure pallets are stacked and wrapped correctly.
• Remove pallets of completed product to appropriate area for storage.
• Unloads and fills out required paperwork on all incoming materials, ingredients, and supplies.
• Relieve other department drivers for breaks.
• Operate forklift safely at all times, maintain forklift as required, and complete daily forklift checklist.
• Change propane as needed.
