Job summary

Seneca Foods Corporation is hiring for a 2nd Shift General Labor Processor in Hart, Michigan. The role is full-time in the Processing department with hours starting at 3:30pm on weekdays and 8-10 hour shifts, with a pay rate of $19.91 per hour.

Responsibilities include preparing totes, inspecting and sanitizing materials, weighing quantities, and assisting with production and paperwork. The environment is production-heavy and safety-focused, with opportunities for growth in a stable industry.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic math and clear communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare totes for processing by removing covers and opening bags prior to loading tank.
• Repair and/or reject totes or other materials not meeting specifications.
• Inspect, clean, and sanitize totes and materials for conformance to specifications.
• Prepare totes for finished product by lining with bags.
• Weigh tote containers to verify ingredient quantities.
• Notify supervisor of production problems and assist in identifying and correcting these problems.
• Plant clean-up and general duties on moving lines/belts.
