Job summary

Seneca Foods Corporation in Hart, Michigan is seeking a hands-on Filter Press Operator on the 2nd shift. This temporary, full-time position requires operating a filter press, forklift experience, and adherence to safety protocols in a fast-paced processing environment.

You will handle start-up/shut-down of APV equipment, monitor syrup chemistry, perform quality checks, and support nearby operations as needed. Pay starts at $21.83 per hour with benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years of forklift experience preferred (Food Processing a plus).
• Basic math and clear communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate, disassemble and clean filter press.
• Measure and add chemicals.
• Wear required safety equipment.
• Operate APV start-up, shut-down, and cleaning.
• Perform checks to monitor syrup brix/PH.
• Operate flow meters.
• Conduct checks, make adjustments, and complete paperwork.
• Provide back-up to Glace Tank Room Operators.
• Operate pumps and report production issues.
• Plant clean-up.
