Job summary

Seneca Foods Corporation is hiring a Sanitation Employee for the 3rd shift in Hart, Michigan. You’ll perform sanitation duties, operate forklifts, and follow GMP/HACCP/BRC standards to keep production running safely and efficiently.

The role requires a high school diploma, 1–2 years forklift experience, and solid communication; OSHA forklift license is preferred. This is a full-time, 9:30pm–6am position with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1–2 years forklift experience preferred (Food Processing a plus).
• Basic math and clear communication skills are needed.

Responsibilities

• Handle and properly use cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Use proper Lock-out / Tag-out procedures.
• Maintain and operate forklift safely at all times.
• Complete daily forklift inspection.
• Properly use steam / hot water system.
• Properly use product and material-handling pumps.
• Read and understand the English language.
• Tote and barrel dumping.
• Dipping cherries from totes.
• Pumping processing and brine tanks.
• Other tasks as assigned.
• Internal GMP/HACCP/BRC Training.
• Good communication skills.
• Trained and knowledgeable in the use of PPE.
