Job summary

JBS USA is seeking a Machine Operator GL3 for the 2nd shift. The role emphasizes precise adjustments, basic troubleshooting, and program modifications to meet production standards. You will be the final quality checkpoint before products reach customers, with safety and GMP compliance as key requirements.

Ideal candidates will understand production procedures, operate related machinery, and uphold food safety protocols in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in General Production 2
• Must be at least 18 years old
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• 2+ years production experience preferred
• Ability to follow company and safety rules/policies
• Understanding of production and procedures
• Ability to use knives, saws and various machinery
• Lifts and manual handling of product

Responsibilities

• Prepare work area for pre- and post-operational activities.
• Load, unload and transfer product to/from equipment and conveyors.
• Monitor production lines and identify issues; replenish packaging materials.
• Sort, weigh, wrap, label, verify or measure product to specs.
• Inspect and remove defective products/packaging from the process.
• Arrive on time; overtime may be required.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Set up/tear down equipment; use proper lifting techniques.
• Perform safety checks and operate pallet jack/forklift.
• Perform Lock Out/Tag Out procedures.
• Modify and create program settings to meet production standards.
• Provide machine adjustments and troubleshooting when required.
• Other duties as assigned.
