Job summary

JBS USA is seeking a Machine Operator GL3 for the 2nd shift. The role starts at $20 per hour with a $1 shift differential. The operator provides precise adjustments, basic troubleshooting, and may modify program settings to meet production standards, serving as a final quality checkpoint before packaging.

Safety, GMPs and quality standards are essential. Responsibilities include preparing work areas, loading/unloading product, monitoring lines, and maintaining a clean work environment.

Qualifications

• Requires General Production 2 proficiency and basic understanding of production procedures.
• Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED.
• Minimum 2 years of production experience preferred.
• Ability to safely operate knives, saws and various machinery.
• Capable of lifting, loading and packaging product during daily tasks.

Responsibilities

• Prepare work area for pre- and post-operational activities.
• Load, unload, and transfer product to and from equipment or conveyors.
• Monitor production lines, identify issues, and replenish packaging materials.
• Sort, weigh, wrap, label, and measure product to specifications.
• Inspect and remove defective products from the process.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Set up and tear down of equipment and use proper lifting techniques.
• Perform safety checklist and operate pallet jack/riders/forklift equipment.
• Modify and create program settings to meet production standards.
• Provide machine adjustments and troubleshooting when required.
