Job summary

Grand Lake Health System is hiring a Floor Care Technician for the 2nd shift (3:00pm-11:30pm) in the hospital environmental services department. The role involves performing floor care, properly disposing of solid and infectious waste, and supporting the facility's cleanliness standards.

Responsibilities include ordering supplies, maintaining equipment, and performing duties as needed to meet patient and hospital objectives. Every other weekend and rotating holiday schedule apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous floor care experience in health care housekeeping preferred.
• Must be able to perform tasks requiring full range of body motion and lift up to 50 pounds.
• D.O.T. yearly requirements or relevant physical requirements may apply.

Responsibilities

• Performs floor care and environmental services duties under supervision.
• Disposes of solid and infectious waste according to protocol.
• Orders cleaning supplies and maintains floor care equipment per manufacturer recommendations.
• Performs other duties to ensure department meets responsibilities to patient and Hospital Mission.
