Job summary

Winona Health Services is seeking a Floor Technician to perform specialized floor care and environmental services across the facility. The role covers stripping, waxing, scrubbing, and buffing floors, plus waste handling and window cleaning in patient care areas, ORs, and public spaces.

Hours are 2:30pm-11:00pm with every-other weekend and every-third holiday. Strong adherence to infection control, safety, and HIPAA is required, along with ability to work independently and learn new methods.

Qualifications

• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
• High School/GED or equivalent required.
• Experience with floor care including stripping, waxing, scrubbing and buffing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform floor care: stripping, waxing, scrubbing and buffing of various floors.
• Handle waste removal, including infectious and hazardous waste and sharps disposal.
• Clean interior and exterior windows; transport linens to designated locations.
• Follow infection control, safety, and HIPAA guidelines in patient areas.
• Maintain a clean, organized work environment and meet department timelines.
• Support hospital operations and assist with additional duties as needed.
