Job summary

Northrop Grumman seeks a Flight Inspector – Level 2 or Level 3 for its Oxnard, CA site. The role is 2nd shift (2:30pm-12am) on a 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off. Responsibilities include visual, dimensional, and functional inspections of spacecraft components, utilizing calipers, micrometers, CMMs, and related tools.

US citizenship is required. Two different qualification levels exist: Level 2 requires a high school diploma with 2 years of related experience; Level 3 requires 4 years.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with 2 years of related experience or education for Level 2.
• Level 3 requires 4 years of related experience or education.
• Experience with various inspection tools and measuring devices.
• US Citizenship is required to start.

Responsibilities

• Inspect visually, dimensionally, and functionally on spacecraft components and assemblies.
• Use measuring devices (caliper, micrometer, CMM, etc.) to verify conformance to drawings and specs.
• Decide acceptance or rejection of work and tests performed.
• Work from drawings, diagrams, and customer specifications.
• Assist in maintaining quality and safety standards.
