Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Oxnard, CA seeks a Flight Inspector (Level 2 or 3) to perform visual, dimensional and functional inspections on spacecraft components. The role is 2nd shift (2:30pm-12am) with a 9/80 schedule and requires U.S.

citizenship and no start clearance. Responsibilities include inspecting components per drawings and specs, using calipers, micrometers, CMMs, and other tools; deciding on acceptance, rejection, or rework; interfacing with internal teams and suppliers to ensure quality

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent and 2 years related experience for Level 2.
No clearance required to start.
Experience utilizing measuring devices such as caliper, micrometer, comparator, gages, pin gages, and other inspection tools.
US Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

Use predetermined methods and specifications to inspect visually in-process and completed products.
Perform inspections on spacecraft components (visual, dimensional, functional).
Use measuring devices like caliper, micrometer, comparator, gages, and pin gages; interpret drawings and specs.
Decide to accept, reject, or rework defective units or systems.
Work from drawings, diagrams, customer specifications and inspection instructions.
