Job summary

Donaldson Company, Inc. in Monticello, IN is seeking a Machine Operator for the 2nd shift (1:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.).

This on-site role involves assembling filtration products in a collaborative, safety‑minded team environment. You will trim flash, set up and operate machines, inspect parts for defects, maintain production sheets, and ensure correct packaging and labeling, while following all safety rules and communicating with the team.

Responsibilities

• Trim flash from each part to specification and inspect parting line for defects.
• Set-up and operate machines as skill and ability are acquired, using prescribed set-up operations.
• Maintain and ensure quality by inspecting each part produced and communicating defects to Machine Operator.
• May perform minor repairs on all machines, including PM’s associated with Molding Machines.
• Recognizes operating irregularities and notifies Machine Operator, Manufacturing Team Leader or Quality Technician.
• Maintain set-ups so that quality and production standards can be met or exceeded.
• Anticipates material requirements and notifies designated persons or Supervisors or moves material to minimize production delays.
• Use precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, scales).
• Maintain accurate production sheets daily.
• Responsible for proper packaging of parts by correct quantity and labeling.
