Job summary

ITW Residential Mechanical Fastening is seeking a skilled machine operator for the 2nd shift in Roselle, IL. The role involves setup, operation, and preventative maintenance of fastening equipment to meet quality specs while ensuring safety and efficiency.

You will perform quality checks, document results, and assist with equipment installation. Strong teamwork and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• At least five years of experience in high-volume manufacturing.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Able to interpret blueprints, schematics and follow instructions.
• Must be able to work in a team environment.
• Reliable transportation for travel between Roselle and Itasca facilities.
• Willing to work assigned shift with some mandatory overtime including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate inline equipment to cold head, point and thread-roll fasteners.
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Conduct quality checks and document results.
• Follow safety practices and identify hazards.
• Troubleshoot production equipment and line failures.
• Inspect incoming tooling and monitor equipment performance.
• Assist with installation of equipment and participate in team meetings.
• Operate as machine operator on the production line.
• Maintain housekeeping and perform 6-S improvements.
• Communicate effectively with the team in writing and verbally.
