Job summary

Cibo Vita Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Lead to support our Totowa, NJ facility on the 2nd or 3rd shift. The role combines hands-on mechanical and electrical troubleshooting with team leadership and shift coordination to keep production running safely and efficiently.

You will diagnose equipment issues, guide repairs, and ensure preventive maintenance is executed while maintaining strict food safety and quality standards in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Hands-on maintenance experience in manufacturing, especially food processing or packaging is preferred.
• Experience leading a maintenance team and coordinating priorities on the plant floor.
• Strong ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings for troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate maintenance technicians during assigned 2nd or 3rd shift; prioritize, assign, and follow up on work.
• Provide hands-on mechanical and electrical troubleshooting for production equipment on the plant floor.
• Diagnose failures, determine root causes, and direct safe repairs to minimize downtime.
• Troubleshoot drives, bearings, gearboxes, conveyors, pumps, and packaging components.
• Troubleshoot sensor circuits, relays, contactors, solenoids, motor starters, and VFDs.
• Read manuals and schematics; document work orders and maintain maintenance records.
• Support preventive and predictive maintenance; coordinate with other departments to protect safety and quality.
