Job summary

Chelten House – Maintenance Technician is needed for the 2nd shift (Mon-Fri 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm) at our Bridgeport, NJ site. You will join a team to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment to meet our manufacturing goals.

The role requires 4+ years in food manufacturing maintenance, strong mechanical/electrical skills, and the ability to work well with others. We offer competitive pay, benefits starting 1st of the month, and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• High School Education or GED.
• Industrial Technical courses in Industrial Technology preferred.
• 4+ years’ work experience in the food manufacturing industry, industrial electrical and mechanical repairs and technical support for industrial equipment.
• Strong team player - good communication (written and verbal), with the ability to train others.

Responsibilities

• Ensure machinery and equipment operate efficiently and safely with a team of Technicians.
• Utilize work orders in computer system to guide maintenance tasks.
• Use mechanical test equipment (e.g., calipers) as needed.
• Apply predictive maintenance concepts (ultrasound, thermography) where applicable.
• Perform maintenance, repairs, and installations on production machines and equipment.
• Conduct root cause analyses to prevent recurring failures.
• Engage in continuous improvement activities.
