Perfetti Van Melle is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Mechanic for the AWS 2nd Shift in Loves Park, IL. You will perform maintenance and repairs on electrical, plumbing, HVAC and building systems to keep production lines running smoothly.

Join a team that uses Lean methods and CMMS tools; candidates should have 3 years in maintenance, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work a rotating schedule including weekends. Competitive hourly pay and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• 3 yrs. experience in a maintenance role.
• Ability to read written instruction that includes use of CMMS (SAP & UpKeep).
• Computer proficiency (MS Office to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint) & ERP experience.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written), analytical & problem-solving skills.
• Must be available to work any shift and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Co-ordinate the execution of Building Maintenance program and facilities maintenance program.
• Uses Lean Six Sigma methods: PM, CBM, visual controls & tools mgmt.; lubrication and calibration.
• Coaches and trains operating teams on routine maintenance and equipment repair.
• Interacts with stakeholders to align priorities with company objectives.
• Operates machine tools and maintains safe, clean work environment per OSHA/GMP/FDA.
