Champion Packaging & Distribution Inc. is seeking a 2nd Shift Maintenance Mechanic for our Woodridge, IL facility. The role focuses on troubleshooting and repairing packaging equipment and facilities support systems with a strong emphasis on maintenance and safety.

Responsibilities include performing tear downs, rebuilds, changes, and routine preventive maintenance. Candidates must have solid electrical and mechanical backgrounds and the ability to work with diverse teams in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics and mechanical systems.
• Basic knowledge of electrical systems (AC/DC).
• Ability to lift and move 40–60 lbs and work overtime/weekends as required.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair equipment including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic components.
• Disassemble, repair or replace defective parts and reassemble and calibrate equipment.
• Adhere to safety policies and work with various levels of management.
