Job summary

GE Aerospace Terre Haute is seeking a skilled production associate to join our component manufacturing and assembly teams in Terre Haute, Indiana. You will operate machinery, perform deburrs, planish, grind and polish parts, and use precision gauges to inspect finished products.

This role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and 6 months to 1 year of fabrication experience. You must be at least 18 and able to work varied shifts, including overtime, to support the team and quality goals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 6 months to 1 year experience with fabrication techniques and machinery.
• Role requires at least 18 years of age by joining date.

Responsibilities

• Completes set-ups and operate machinery.
• Use tools to de-burr, planish, grind and polish the product.
• Utilizes precision measuring instruments to inspect parts.
• Adherence to Operator Acceptance Procedures (OAP).
• Inspect finished product and identify defects.
• Assemble details on parts utilizing various tools.
• Run first piece inspection of parts.
• Be multi-skilled in different operations (fabrication, machining, inspection, etc.).
• Contribute to continuous improvement and support 6S initiatives.
• Be flexible to support team goals (hours, overtime).
• Willingness to learn/perform other duties as required.
