Job summary

IEC - International Environmental Corporation in Oklahoma City seeks a skilled fabricator to support general fabrication processes, cutting, grinding, and organizing metals for machine operators. This hands-on role requires attention to detail to ensure quality parts are produced on time.

You will operate saws, drills, grinders, and other fabrication tools, follow drawings and work orders, inspect parts, and maintain a clean, safe work area.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
  • 1–3 years of experience in a production plant preferred.
  • Ability to use hand tools, measuring tools, and shop equipment.
  • Basic blueprint or drawing reading skills preferred.
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.
  • Ability to work independently and carry out assignments to completion with minimal supervision.
  • Self‑motivated, self‑directed, and able to perform multiple tasks with strong attention to detail.
  • Positive attitude, team‑oriented, and willing to learn and participate in continuous improvement projects.

Brief Description

POSITION SUMMARY general fabrication processes, such as cutting, grinding, and organizing different metals for machine operators. This role is hands‑on and requires attention to detail to ensure quality parts are produced on time.

Responsibilities
  • Fabricate and assemble metal parts using hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment.
  • Organize different metals and materials for machine operators.
  • Operate saws, drills, grinders, and other fabrication tools.
  • Follow work orders, drawings, and instructions to produce accurate parts.
  • Inspect finished parts to ensure quality and accuracy.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

  • Willingness to accept additional assignments and responsibilities as assigned.

Working Conditions

Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment. Work involves frequent lifting of materials and products up to 40 pounds. Equipment operation requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to safety glasses with side shields, hearing protectors, hard‑toed safety shoes, protective gloves, and aprons as needed. Work schedule is based on a 10‑hour schedule with overtime required based on business needs.
