Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a part-time Environmental Services team member at Carolinas Medical Center to perform routine cleaning and discharge cleaning tasks. The role involves following a 7-Step cleaning process, maintaining floors, and replenishing supplies.

Team members work every other weekend as part of the schedule, with a physical requirement to handle lifting and cleaning duties as needed. Responsibilities include cleaning fixtures, handling waste, and ensuring patient areas remain

Qualifications

• Ability to follow oral and written instructions and complete written forms required; on the job training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine cleaning tasks in assigned area following the 7-Step cleaning process and the remaking of beds after disinfecting during discharge cleaning.
• Maintains floors and carpets according to the maintenance schedule.
• Cleans fixtures, furnishings, walls, woodwork, floors, stairwells, interior windows, elevators/tracks, and exteriors of equipment.
• Empties trash, wipes and relines containers, operating compactor if necessary.
• Replenishes all disposable items such as soap, toilet paper, paper towels.
• Moves and resets furnishings to original locations following completion of job.
• Performs all methods of floor care in duties, including dust mopping, wet mopping, stripping, refinishing, spot cleaning, burnishing and extraction, using specified equipment.
