Job summary

Mercury Systems, Inc. is seeking an entry-level assembler to work on electronic components in Phoenix, AZ. You will perform basic assembly, load programs, and process parts through equipment, following detailed drawings and work instructions.

Daily responsibilities include maintaining logs and interfacing with engineers and program managers. The role emphasizes precision, ability to work with microscopes, and comfort around chemicals like acetone.

Qualifications

  • Typically requires one year of experience or less.
  • Must follow specs and drawings.
  • Comfortable with exposure to chemicals (acetone).
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel).
  • Good hand-eye coordination and steady hand, with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Use assembly drawings and related paperwork to guide production flow.
  • Assemble, modify, or reassemble units based on written instructions.
  • Load programs on computer for production tasks.
  • Process parts through equipment and ovens (Asymtek, high temp).
  • Set up and clean machinery daily.
  • Interface with Engineers and Program Manager.

Job description

  • Use of assembly drawings and related paperwork (Router, Pick List, Bill of Material, Non-Conformance Reports, etc.) to accompany parts through production flow
  • Uses written instructions to assemble, modify, rework or reassemble units
  • Performs basic and routine electronic assembly operations on components or subassemblies
  • Loads programs on computer
  • Process parts through Asymtek equipment and high temp ovens
  • Sets up and cleans machinery on a daily basis
  • Process transactions on Oracle (ERP) system
  • Uses calipers and computerized measurement scopes for measurements
  • Keeps all manual and electronic logbooks current
  • Interface with Engineers and Program Manager

Required Qualifications:

  • Typically requires one year of experience or less
  • Ability to work under a microscope as needed
  • Ability to work OT as needed
  • Comfortable with exposure to chemicals such as acetone
  • Must have good computer skills in Microsoft Office to include Outlook, and Excel
  • Must have good eye/hand coordination and a steady hand. Requires strong attention to detail.
  • Must be able to follow specs/drawings

Fulltime Equivalent Job Grade Salary Range for this position

  • $34,200.00 - $68,400.00 annual salary for in-office or hybrid employees in FL, GA, IN, AZ, AL, MD or TX, and all remote employees
  • $38,300.00 - $76,600.00 annual salary for in-office or hybrid employees in VA, CA, NH or MA
  • $40,400.00 - $80,700.00 annual salary for in-office or hybrid employees in NJ
