Job summary
Georgia-Pacific in Madera, CA seeks a Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician (2nd Shift) to troubleshoot and maintain manufacturing equipment, ensuring uptime and product quality. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, read electrical schematics, and work safely following plant policies.
The role requires hands-on mechanical and electrical skills and the ability to operate in a noisy environment.
Qualifications
- At least five (5) years of maintenance experience in industrial environments.
- Five+ years in manufacturing using high speed automated systems.
- Five+ years reading technical drawings and electrical schematics.
- Experience with preventative maintenance and predictive maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Adhere to safety and environmental guidelines.
- Meet production, waste and quality goals through a maintenance program.
- Install and repair mechanical drives, fasteners, hydraulics/pneumatics, hoisting/rigging, bearings, and conveyors.
- Read schematics and troubleshoot electrical systems up to 480V three-phase.
- Perform preventive maintenance and maintain equipment manuals.
- Work in a loud, hot, humid environment while wearing PPE.
- Work shifts, holidays, weekends and overtime as needed.
