Job summary

Georgia-Pacific in Asheboro, NC is seeking Multi-Craft Maintenance Technicians to support a corrugated facility. The role involves hands-on maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of motors, PLCs, hydraulic and pneumatic systems on a 12-hour 2-3-2 shift (5:00-5:00).

You will work with a team to meet production and quality goals, utilize schematics and manuals, perform preventive maintenance, and identify opportunities to improve lubrication and reliability.

Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing, industrial or military environment or an associate degree or Industrial Maintenance Certification.
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing conveyors, hydraulic, and pneumatics systems.
• Experience interpreting electrical schematics and drawings.
• Experience working with electrical, PLCs, A/C and D/C motors and drive controls.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair machinery including motors, controls, PLCs, and drive systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance to ensure safe, reliable performance.
• Assist other operators with troubleshooting to meet production, waste, and quality goals.
• Use diagrams, schematics, operation manuals, and specs to correctly fix issues.
• Lubricate equipment and identify opportunities to improve lubrication.
