Job summary

Apex Space is seeking a Receiving Inspector to join our Supply Chain team onsite. You will inspect flight electronics hardware, review accompanying documentation, and record inspection results in our ERP system to ensure compliance before entering inventory and production.

The role emphasizes handling EEE components, non-conformances tracking, and collaboration with Quality, Materials Management, and Production to support readiness and mission success. 2nd shift schedule applies.

Qualifications

• Experience inspecting electronics/EEE parts in aerospace manufacturing.
• Familiar with AS9100/ISO9001 quality systems.
• Knowledge of IPC-A-610 and IPC-A-620 workmanship standards.
• Ability to document inspections and traceability in ERP/MRP.
• Willingness to work onsite in Los Angeles area for 2nd shift.

Responsibilities

• Receive and inspect inbound materials, focusing on electronics and EEE components used in flight spacecraft builds.
• Perform visual and workmanship inspections on PCBA, harnesses, connectors, and cables.
• Review and verify documentation with hardware (C of C, packing lists, inspection reports).
• Identify, document, and track non-conformances in the ERP system.
• Ensure proper traceability and handling of flight hardware through the receiving process.
• Support cycle counts and inventory accuracy as needed.
• Develop and continuously improve receiving inspection practices and best practices.
• Assist with training or mentoring less experienced inspectors within Receiving Inspection.
• Pick, move, and deliver inspected parts into inventory or to production as required.
