Job summary

Apex Technology, Inc.'s Space division is looking for a Receiving Inspector to join the Supply Chain team at the Playa Vista facility. You will inspect flight electronics hardware, review accompanying documentation, identify non-conformances, and record results in our ERP system before parts enter inventory.

The role collaborates with Supplier Quality, Materials Management, and Production to ensure readiness for manufacture and mission success.

Qualifications

• U.S. Person status is required due to export controlled data.
• Experience inspecting electronics/EEE parts in a manufacturing or aerospace environment.
• Exposure to AS9100 and/or ISO9001 quality systems.
• Familiarity with IPC-A-610 and IPC-A-620 workmanship standards.
• Understanding of GD&T fundamentals.
• Experience documenting inspections and traceability in an ERP/MRP system.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Able to perform lifting and work onsite 6:00am–3:00pm with overtime.

Responsibilities

• Receive and inspect inbound materials focusing on electronics and EEE components.
• Perform visual and workmanship inspections on PCBAs, harnesses, connectors, cables.
• Review and verify documentation (C of C, packing lists, inspection reports).
• Identify, document, and track non-conformances in ERP.
• Ensure traceability and handling of flight hardware through receiving.
• Support cycle counts and inventory accuracy.
• Develop and improve receiving inspection practices and methods.
• Assist with training inspectors within Receiving Inspection.
• Move inspected parts into inventory or to production.
