Job summary

Apex Space is seeking a Receiving Inspector for its on-site facility to ensure inbound flight electronics meet product, quality, and documentation requirements before entering inventory. You will inspect hardware, review documentation, and record results in our ERP system while collaborating with Supplier Quality, Materials Management, and Production.

The role requires a strong electronics background, familiarity with AS9100/ISO9001, IPC standards, and GD&T fundamentals, with a 2nd shift

Qualifications

• Experience inspecting electronics / EEE parts or assemblies in a manufacturing or aerospace environment.
• Exposure to AS9100 and/or ISO9001 quality systems.
• Familiarity with electronics workmanship standards such as IPC-A-610 and IPC-A-620.
• Understanding of GD&T fundamentals.
• Experience documenting inspections, discrepancies, and traceability in an ERP or MRP system.

Responsibilities

• Receive and inspect inbound materials, with a focus on electronics and EEE components for flight spacecraft builds.
• Perform visual and workmanship inspections on electronic parts and assemblies (PCBs, harnesses, connectors, cables).
• Review and verify documentation delivered with hardware (C of C, packing lists, inspection reports).
• Identify, document, and track non-conformances and discrepancies within the ERP system.
• Ensure proper traceability and handling of flight hardware through the receiving process.
• Support cycle counts and inventory accuracy as needed.
• Develop and improve receiving inspection practices and best practices.
• Assist with training or mentoring less experienced inspectors in Receiving Inspection.
• Move inspected parts into inventory or production as required.
