Eaton’s IS AER FMC division in Jackson, MS is seeking an Electronic Technician for the 2nd shift. Core hours are 3:30pm–12am, Monday through Friday, with a $23.30 hourly rate plus $1 shift differential.

The role emphasizes maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electronic and electro/mechanical equipment on CNC machinery and NC testing systems. Eligible candidates reside within 50 miles of Jackson.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in electronic technology is required. A minimum of two years military electronics training may substitute.
• Two years of prior work experience as an electronic technician in industrial or military settings required.
• U.S. person compliant with export regulations is required.
• Must reside within 50 miles of Jackson, MS (active duty exempt).

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, safe work area.
• Perform 5S/TPM maintenance functions as needed.
• Troubleshoot and repair electronic and electro/mechanical equipment on CNC machinery and NC testing systems.
• Read control circuit diagrams and repair/replace components on circuit cards using soldering equipment.
• Construct and install new control circuits and instrumentation; wire cables and coaxes for CNC/NC systems.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance and manage repair parts inventories.
