Job summary

Randstad USA in Pawtucket, RI seeks an Assembly Technician to perform manual assembly of components and sub-assemblies using basic hand tools and SOPs. You will prepare lines, log production data, and support daily output targets in a fast-paced environment.

The role emphasizes quality through in-process inspections, adherence to safety policies, and collaboration on troubleshooting and cross-training of new team members.

Responsibilities

• Assemble products and sub-assemblies according to specifications.
• Prepare and load production lines; ensure line clearance.
• Perform routine production tasks and meet department output targets.
• Conduct in-process quality checks to maintain defect-free units.
• Log daily production data to support labor tracking and performance metrics.
• Troubleshoot immediate assembly issues and assist in cross-training new staff.
• Maintain a clean, safe workstation and adhere to PPE policies.

Assembly Operations: Execute manual assembly of components, sub-assemblies, and final electrode products using basic hand tools and adherence to validated Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Line Preparation: Perform material organization, line clearance, and line loading procedures prior to production runs.

Production & Productivity: Carry out routine manufacturing tasks under general supervision, consistently achieving department-established target rates and daily output requirements.

Quality Assurance: Conduct rigorous in-process inspections to uphold defect-free standards, segregating or remanufacturing non-conforming units as required.

Documentation & Reporting: Log precise daily production data to support labor tracking and manufacturing performance metrics.

Continuous Improvement & Support: Troubleshoot immediate assembly issues and assist in cross-training and onboarding new team members.

Safety & Compliance: Maintain a safe, clean, and organized workstation in full compliance with safety policies, PPE requirements, and regulatory standards.
