Job summary

Eaton's ES AMER ESS division in Santa Ana, CA is seeking an Electrical Test Technician for the 2nd shift. This full-time role runs a 40-hour week with potential overtime. Hours: 1:45 PM- 10:15 PM.

Full Benefits and 401k plan are offered from day one. The hourly rate is $29.80/hr plus $1.00 shift premium per hour. The position tests and modifies electrical equipment post-production, inspects product functions, and monitors test procedures.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required from an accredited educational institution.
• 2 years of experience in electrical test or related electronic technologies field, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
• Relocation assistance is not available; only candidates in the immediate geographical area (50 mile radius). Active Duty Military Service members are exempt.

Responsibilities

• Perform system tests, including IR and dielectric testing, and complete written test reports, logs and records.
• Troubleshoot electrical problems in complex systems.
• Troubleshoot AC/DC circuitry and printed circuit assemblies to the component level.
• Assemble, set-up programs and perform functional tests on circuit boards.
• Organize work by receiving work requests; studying wiring diagrams, drawings, and specifications.
• Testing systems and electrical components; determining cause of problems and requirements to solve problems.
