Job summary

Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division in Santa Ana, CA, is seeking an Electrical Test Technician for the 2nd shift. The role tests and modifies electrical equipment post-production, inspects functions, and documents test results.

Hours: 1:45 PM–10:15 PM, with potential overtime and a competitive hourly rate. You will troubleshoot AC/DC circuitry, assemble test setups for circuit boards, and operate equipment such as hi-pot testers, infrared cameras, and digital meters.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2 years of experience in electrical test or related electronic technologies field, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
• Relocation assistance is not available for this position; only candidates within 50 miles will be considered.
• Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from geographical area limitation.

Responsibilities

• Test and modify electrical equipment post-production; inspect product functions and monitor test procedures.
• Troubleshoot electrical problems in complex systems; troubleshoot AC/DC circuitry to component level.
• Assemble, set up programs and perform functional tests on circuit boards.
• Use test equipment including digital meter, current meter, hi-pot tester, infrared camera, current clamp, and more.
• Maintain safe work environment by following standards and procedures and complying with regulations.
