Job summary

Flex-N-Gate is seeking a skilled Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our team in Urbana, IL. Focus is on installing and maintaining electrical aspects of the facility, including lighting, presses, paint line, and compressors.

The role requires color vision, a certified electrician background or 10–15 years of industrial experience, and strong problem-solving in a fast-paced environment. Overtime and safety adherence are essential.

Qualifications

• Color vision required to distinguish color variations.
• Certified Electrician or 10-15 years of industrial electrical experience.
• Strong problem solving and teamwork abilities.
• English health and safety training programs understood.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain motor control systems and electrical aspects of pneumatic, mechanical and hydraulic systems.
• Troubleshoot electrical circuit issues.
• Read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
• Safely operate cranes, hoists, forklift and man-lift.
• Work with maintenance trades and components (electrician, welding, pipefitting, fabrication, mechanical).
• Perform general repairs to heavy machinery and preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace compliant with safety standards.
• Employees must provide their own tools.
• Other duties as assigned.
