Job summary

Synergy Flavors, Inc. is seeking a Dry Blend Packing Operator for the 2nd shift to pack flavors (powders, spray dry, liquids, emulsions and extracts) following batch tickets and safety procedures.

You will work with Batch Compounders, ensuring accurate packaging, labeling and adherence to food-safety standards. Responsibilities include operating mixers, spray dryers, and blending tanks; recording data; and maintaining clean, sanitary conditions while meeting production targets.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent work experience.
• Consume required materials using RF scanner and accurately report batch quantities.
• Must have attention to detail and can perform basic mathematics.
• Ability to manually lift 50 lbs. continuously when necessary.
• Must follow safety requirements, forklift policy and wear required PPE.
• Ability to problem solve and communicate when something is wrong and to recognize and report the problem.
• Ability to work overtime when necessary.
• Ability to learn and consistently follow operational and cleaning procedures.
• Ability to learn and consistently complete required documentation and record-keeping requirements.

Responsibilities

• Pack production batches and monitor equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
• Record production and other data accurately on specified forms and documents.
• Follow sanitary guidelines for CIP and cleaning.
• Transfer materials, set up equipment, supplies and packaging materials efficiently.
• Learn and understand food safety concepts and their importance in making our products.
