Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. in Morton, IL is seeking a Manager, Distribution (2nd Shift) to lead the inbound processing center, supervising up to 25 hourly teammates.

You will coach, mentor, and drive safety, productivity, and service quality in a fast-paced aftermarket parts operation. This onsite role emphasizes process improvement, staffing, and cost controls, with a 2nd shift (3:00–11:00 PM CT, Mon–Fri) and up to 10% travel.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate distribution center teams through coaching and mentoring.
• Drive operational excellence by resolving issues and improving processes.
• Ensure safety and compliance through daily safety meetings and proper procedures.
• Oversee inventory and equipment management to support efficient operations.
• Manage payroll, attendance, and workflow to improve service levels and reduce costs.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Caterpillar management.
