Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. in Atlanta, GA is seeking a Manager, Distribution (3rd Shift) to lead a distribution center team of up to 30 hourly associates.

The role supports safety, quality, and service standards while guiding daily operations on a Sunday–Thursday, 9:00 PM–5:30 AM ET schedule. Responsibilities include coaching and supervising staff, driving process improvements, overseeing inventory and equipment, and handling payroll and attendance tasks to control costs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 5+ years’ experience leading teams.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite is preferred.
• Strong leadership and communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate distribution center teams of up to 30 hourly associates.
• Drive operational excellence by improving processes and enforcing standards.
• Ensure safety and compliance through daily safety meetings and proper procedures.
• Oversee inventory and equipment management across receiving, storage, and maintenance.
• Manage payroll, attendance, and workflow to improve service levels and reduce costs.
