Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. in Morton, IL is seeking a Manager, Distribution (2nd Shift) to lead up to 25 hourly associates in the Inbound Processing Center. The role focuses on coaching, safety, and performance improvements on a 3:00–11:00 PM schedule. Travel up to 10% domestically and relocation not offered.

You will drive operational excellence, oversee inventory and equipment management, and collaborate across teams to meet service and cost targets while ensuring a safe working environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; logistics experience preferred.
• Experience in SAP EWM and logistics processes.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate distribution center teams through coaching and training.
• Drive operational excellence by resolving issues and improving processes.
• Ensure safety and compliance through daily safety meetings and proper equipment use.
• Oversee inventory and equipment management including receiving, storage, and maintenance.
• Manage payroll, attendance, and workflow administration to improve service levels.
